B.Rawn (Barry)

Barry Rawn received the PhD degree in electrical engineering from the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, where he received the BASc and MASc degrees in Engineering Science and Electrical Engineering respectively from the University of Toronto in 2002 and 2004. His research interests include nonlinear dynamics and sustainable energy infrastructure.

At TU Delft he is contributing to the EOS project Regelduurzaam, which examines regulating and reserve power in power systems comprised of distributed and renewable energy resources. In particular, he is characterizing the fluctuations of renewable resources, and assessing prospects for wind turbines and PV plants to control their own output and participate in ancillary services.
